Baking Memories Together

For centuries—from medieval Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, to the ancient pueblos of the Americas—the village oven was the true heart and literal fire of the community. Women would gather for hours, waiting for the massive stones to heat, seamlessly transforming a shared chore into a sanctuary of storytelling, recipe swapping, and deep mutual support.
That historic hearth may be gone, but our need for connection remains. History tells us that baking was never done alone—and perhaps, it was never meant to be. Today, we may have private kitchens, but we still crave that village warmth.”

Origin Story

Founder Filippo grew up watching his Mamma bake with her friends, and/or bake for her friends and family. And then she would share, with everyone, her family, her neighbors, the community at large. Her bakes were so loved and she loved to gift them, that she was eventually called upon to bake her cookies for the most celebrated moments in people’s lives. Holidays, Birthdays, Festivities, Baptisms Graduations, Weddings, and the like.

She never charged for one cookie. Ever. Upon her death, Filippo, who had never baked a cookie in his life, baked a botched up batch of cookies. He still shared them, because that’s what his heart told him to do. When he was a little boy, and his Mother would say to him to bring cookies, cakes or sweets to this person or that family, upon arriving at their door he would say, “These are from my Mamma.” And so, Filippo continued to bake and in the process, learn how to bake, and share his cookies saying, “These are from my Mom.”

Seeing the joy it brought to people when he shared cookies, and the inspiration it ignited in others, including wanting to make sweets for their family, or learn how, Sweet Integrity™ was born.
